Neukirchen is a district of the market Triftern in the Lower Bavarian district of Rottal-Inn . Until 1978 it formed under the name Neukirchen b. Parish churches an independent community.

location

Neukirchen is located about three kilometers southwest of Triftern in the Isar-Inn hill country at the confluence of State Road 2324 and State Road 2112.

history

Neukirchen was probably settled from Triftern. Cautious estimates date this to the time between 1000 and 1100 AD. It is assumed that at that time a wooden church served as a meeting place for the parish. A first stone church could then have been the trigger for the place name. The first reference to Newenkirchen comes from the year 1333. In 1482 the place was called Newnkirchn , in 1532 the Obmannschaft Neunnkirchen belonged to the office of Pfarrkirchen , just as Neukirchen was now in 1665. According to the conscription from 1752, the Obmannschaft Neukirchen belonged to the Amt Triftern in the Reichenberg Nursing Court .

When the tax districts were formed in 1809, the Neukirchen tax district and partly Voglarn became the Neukirchen tax district. In 1818 the district court community Neukirchen emerged from it. The town of Neukirchen carried the name Neukirchen bei Pfarrkirchen from September 15, 1889, according to the completion notification from the Pfarrkirchen surveying district to the Royal Cadastral Bureau . The community of Neukirchen b. Pfarrkirchen, which belonged to the district of Pfarrkirchen , had 32 districts in 1964. It was dissolved in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria on May 1, 1978 and incorporated into the Triftern market. The addition “near parish churches” has since been omitted. A village renewal was carried out between 1991 and 2010.

After a five-year construction period, Umgehungsstr. (St 2112) finished and the place has been massively relieved of through traffic.

Neukirchen was originally a branch of the parish Triftern. In 1866 the Expositur and in 1886 the parish Neukirchen bei Pfarrkirchen was created.

Attractions

  • Parish Church of St. John the Baptist . Between 1450 and 1500, the then existing nave was extended in the late Gothic style. With the Baroque style, the Gothic furnishings were replaced by a Baroque choir altar from 1690 to 1691. In 1881 the church received a neo-Gothic interior and a new tower. In 1914 another extension took place. In 1957 the neo-Gothic furnishings were largely removed. The high altar that was built at that time contains a Gothic pieta around 1340/1350.
