history

In 1138 a Henric de Anzenschirien appeared for the first time as a seal witness. The nobles of Anzenkirchen can be traced back to the 13th century. They were followed as owners of the Hofmark by the Neudeck and Anzenkirchen taverns , which were replaced by the Ortenburgers of Neudeck in the 16th century . Until 1805 the closed Hofmark belonged to the Ortenburgers. At the time of Napoleon, Anzenkirchen was the station of the optical telegraph line Vienna-Strasbourg-Paris, which once ran through the Rottal.

The place Anzenkirchen was since 1818 part of the municipality Loderham . In 1905 Anzenkirchen had 105 inhabitants, in 1970 there were already 1140. In a communication from the State Ministry of the Interior of October 23, 1961 to the municipality of Loderham, the name of the municipality was changed to "Municipality of Anzenkirchen". The municipality of Anzenkirchen came to Triftern on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Originally a branch of Triftern from an ecclesiastical perspective, Anzenkirchen became a branch in 1901 and a parish in 1921 .
