Ensembles
Ensemble town center Triftern
File number: E-2-77-149-1
Triftern is surrounded by hills in the Altbachtal, south of the brook, with an additional narrow building strip north of the brook. The ensemble encompasses the entire place in its late medieval expansion, at the same time also the extension to the west from 17th to 19th centuries. Century core areas are the former area Hof Triftern together with the parish church St. Stephan and the southwest of it in a slight curve up a mountain slope developing street market of the type of southeast Bavarian marketplaces of the Inn valley. The Edelhof zu Triftern was an originally loose building complex mainly north of the parish church, but also to the west and east of it and in this area also walled. At present, the former courtyard complex can still be seen in the so-called Weiherhaus, a baroque residential building, and the so-called Glaserhaus with an archway passage as well as through the row of buildings along Hofgasse, former farm buildings from the 18th century, which are now converted for residential purposes, in the form of two-storey gabled houses. Hof Triftern, which had the lower jurisdiction in the Middle Ages, existed before 1300, when the market in its complex was probably already established. In the course of the market streets, the merging of the streets of Pfarrkirchen, Kößlarn and Ering becomes clear. The place that was never fortified, had market rights since the 14th century and was a regional center of trade from the late Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century, was shaped by the trade of cloth makers, weavers and shoemakers. In the amalgamation of the lower and upper market, the typical south-east Bavarian street market with mostly two-story houses from the 17th and 18th centuries develops on a late medieval floor plan. Houses with advance walls of the Inntal construction alternate with gabled buildings; the facades date from the 19th and 20th centuries. To the northwest, the street market opens onto the former courtyard area and the church. To the west of this opening is initially dense development, with predominantly two-storey saddle roof houses, which then continue to form rows, some loosely together and create angled alleys. This western quarter is characterized by the elongated row of terraced houses on Schönhoferstraße, a two-story row of workers' apartments under a common roof, with a uniform character from around 1810/20. To the west of it, in the Inner Gries, the development is loosened up again. Log and solid buildings with protruding gable roofs up to the edge of the meadow are grouped together in style and time of construction, probably from the time around 1800. This western quarter south of the Altbach also includes the row of houses north of the Altbach, where the characteristic double house type with horizontal subdivision is also included common roof occurs.

Remarks
- ↑ This list may not correspond to the current status of the official list of monuments. The latter can be viewed on the Internet as a PDF using the link given under web links and is also mapped in the Bavarian Monument Atlas . Even these representations, although they are updated daily by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , do not always and everywhere reflect the current status. Therefore, the presence or absence of an object in this list or in the Bavarian Monument Atlas does not guarantee that it is currently a registered monument or not. The Bavarian List of Monuments is also an information directory. The property of a monument - and thus the legal protection - is defined in Art. 1 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act (BayDSchG) and does not depend on the mapping in the Monument Atlas and the entry in the Bavarian Monument List. Objects that are not listed in the Bavarian Monument List can also be monuments if they meet the criteria according to Art. 1 BayDSchG. Early involvement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation according to Art. 6 BayDSchG is therefore necessary in all projects.
