Edward Neville Isdell
Edward Neville Isdell (born June 8, 1944 in Downpatrick , Northern Ireland ) is an Irish businessman and former CEO of the Coca-Cola Company .
education
Isdell holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences from the University of Cape Town and a degree in Harvard Business program for Management Development from Harvard Business School .
Career
Isdell moved to Zambia at the age of ten and started working for the local Coca-Cola Company in 1966 at the age of 22. In 1972 he became managing director of the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Johannesburg , the largest Coca-Cola plant in Africa . Isdell became General Manager for all of Australia in 1980 . In 1981 he became president of the Coca-Cola Company and San Miguel Corporation bottling partnership in the Philippines . There he rebuilt the Coca-Cola business for the entire country.
In 1985 Isdell moved to Germany - he became President of the Coca-Cola Company for Central Europe. Isdell has been with the Coca-Cola Company since he was 22 years old. On July 1, 2008, he was replaced by Muhtar Kent .
Influenced by his personal migration history, he founded the Irish national migration museum called EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin in 2016 .
