The New Ulaanbaatar International Airport ( NUBIA ) is under construction international airport in Mongolia . It is being built 30 kilometers south of the capital Ulaanbaatar in Töw-Aimag . The airport is scheduled to open in 2019 [obsolete] and all stages of expansion are to be completed by 2024. The completion was postponed again and again. Initially it will be designed for 3 million passengers, later for 12 million passengers.

NUBIA is being built on an area of ​​1,200 acres and is said to have cost 650 million US dollars when completed . It is to be connected to Ulaanbaatar via the country's first motorway . The road is due to be completed in mid-2018.
