The Newcomer Glacier is a 30 km long glacier in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It cuts through the northern part of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains and flows first in a south-easterly direction from the area near Allen Peak . He later turns east and leaves the Sentinel Range north of Bracken Peak .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1961 after Loyd Edward Newcomer (1918-2003), who piloted the United States Navy's VX-6 squadron between December 14 and 15, 1959, on flights over the Sentinel Range to create aerial photographs was active.
