action
Nancy Crocker Fleming faces a problem: she has to marry an ordinary American to receive her late father's $ 20 million inheritance. He wanted to make sure that Nancy would not marry a gigolo and therefore put the clause in his will. Nancy sees the excavator operator Tony on the street, whom she offers $ 1,000 to marry her. A short time later, both are married by a justice of the peace. Nancy then wants a quick divorce in Reno so that she can marry her lover, Count Georgi. In turn, Nancy's uncle is critical of this, as he suspects him to be an inheritance hunter.
On the drive to Reno, Nancy and Tony realize that they have fallen in love and it comes to a happy ending.
