Ni Shiqun

Ni Shiqun  ( Chinese : 倪 诗 群; born February 26, 1997 in  Shanghai ) is a  Chinese  chess player and Grand Master of Women (WGM).

In July 2015, she finished second to third at the Zone 3.5 (China) tournament and was therefore eligible to compete in the 2017 Women's World Chess Championship . In October 2015 she won the first Asian university championship in the women's division. In 2016 she won the World University Championship, also in the women's category.

At the 2017 Women's World Cup, she defeated higher placed opponents in the first three rounds before she was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Alexandra Kostenjuk . In the Chinese Team Championship she played for the Shanghai team in 2011, 2012 , 2017 , 2018 and 2019 , with whom she won the title in 2012, 2017 and 2018, in 2013 for Qingdao and from 2014 to 2016 for Tianjin.
