Nicholas Prasad (born December 7, 1995 in Edmonton ) is a Canadian-Fijian football player .

Career

society

In 2011 Prasad joined the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy. A year later he made his senior debut with the Reserve Squard. In 2014, Prasad was part of the Whitecaps FC U-23 team.

In 2014 he signed a contract to play for NCAA Division I college football at Seattle University . Prasad was eligible to play with the Seattle Redhawks for four years.

In 2018 Prasad signed a one-year contract with Regionalliga Bayern , SpVgg Bayreuth .

On July 16, 2019, he signed with the USL championship team FC Tulsa in Tulsa , Oklahoma .

From January 2020 Prasad will play for the Bischofswerdaer FV 08 , position defense. The club signed a national player for the first time in Nicholas Prasad.

National team

In 2019, Prasad was appointed to the Fijian national football team for friendly matches against New Caledonia and Mauritius. He made his debut against New Caledonia on March 18, 2019 and was selected for the Pacific Games. Fiji won a bronze medal.

Personal

Prasad was born in Canada to Fijian parents (of Indian descent). He has two citizenships and can therefore also play for Fiji. Prasad lives in Surrey, British Columbia , Canada.
