Nick Warren

Nick Warren is an English House - DJ and music producer . He is known for his eight albums that were released on the Global Underground record label and as a member of the duo Way Out West . He is also Head of A&R at his own label Hope Recordings.

life and career

In 1988 Nick Warren began his career in Bristol . Initially he mainly played reggae and independent music until house became very popular in England. At the beginning of the 90s he was already one of the most famous DJs in Bristol and played regularly in the Superclub.

While working in a record store, he met the producer Jody Wisternoff and after a short time decided to work with him. Their first collaboration was the song Paradise Is the Sound , which was released under the stage name Sub-Version 3 .

In the mid-1990s he began his residency in Liverpool at the Cream dance club . In 1997 he had the opportunity to do the mix compilation for the Global Underground label for the first time . The album Global Underground 003: Prague is a live set from his Prague tour. He was also allowed to make other mix albums for Global Underground.

With Way Out West he could not achieve much success. It was signed a contract for three albums with the record label Distintc'ive Records.

For his studio work, Nick Warren uses Ableton Live , Pro Tools, and sometimes Logic Pro on his Macintosh .
