Nicola Juergensen

Nicola Jürgensen Jacobsen (* 1975 in Bangkok ) is a German clarinetist .

Life

Jürgensen was born in Bangkok, but she grew up in Hamburg . At the University of Music and Theater in Hanover she studied with Hans Deinzer and in 1996 at the University of Music Lübeck with Sabine Meyer . Since 1998 she has been principal clarinetist with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and since 2001 with the symphony orchestra of the WDR Cologne .

Together with the pianist Matthias Kirschnereit and the violist Volker Jacobsen she founded the Trio Mirabeau. They made their debut in 2004 at the Dresden Music Festival .

As a soloist she has played with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen , the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn , the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra , the Philharmonic Orchestra Freiburg and the Ensemble Resonanz .

She is a lecturer for clarinet at the Orchesterzentrum NRW .
