Nicola Rodigari (born November 7, 1981 in Tirano ) is an Italian short tracker .

Rodigari first took part in international races in 1998. At the short track junior world championship, however, he was eliminated from all three routes in the semifinals, and in the team world championship he was only fifth with the Italian relay. In 1999 he competed in the Junior World Championship for the second time, this time winning the silver medal over the 1,500 m distance. In the other races Rodigari also did well, so that in October 1999 he was allowed to take part in the Short Track World Cup in Montreal for the first time , where he was eliminated in the quarter-finals. In his other World Cup appearances this season, he always missed the final.

At the Junior World Championship in 2000 Rodigari won his first major title over 500 meters before winning silver in the 1500 m superfinal, in which only the best eight athletes from previous competitions were allowed to start. At the team world championship that year, the Italian team with Rodigari won both the 500 m and the 1000 m distance. The individual world championships in March 2000, which took place a week later, ended early for Rodigari like his World Cup appearances, never reaching the semifinals. In the second World Cup race of the 2000/01 season he made it to the finals, but he missed a podium finish. The last participation in a Junior World Championship in 2001 was for Rodigari without a title, for which he won two bronze medals. He improved this result at the 2001 European Short Track Championships with a silver and a bronze medal over 500 and 1000 meters, respectively. He won no title and only one bronze medal at the Team World Cup.

The 2001/02 season started for Rodigari with the qualification for the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and with the first World Cup victory in Amsterdam over the 3000 meters. At the European Championships in January 2002, he won four medals, including a gold on the 500-meter course. At the Olympic short track competitions he was denied the finals in an individual discipline, but he won the silver medal with the team. In the 2002/03 World Cup, Rodigari again reached the podium several times, he was also European champion with the relay and won several medals at the team world championship in 2003. But he did not succeed again at the individual world championship taking place in Poland.

While he brought in further podium finishes in the following World Cup 2003/04, he did not succeed in the second World Cup victory. For this he finished eighth in the overall World Cup, which meant his first top 10 placement there. In addition, Rodigari was the first time all-round European champion and also won his first world championship medal with the team. In the following two World Cup winters, he did not take part in all World Cup races, which explains his poorer placements in the overall World Cups. Nevertheless, he qualified for the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, where he finished seventh over the 500 meters . At the 2006 World Cup, he narrowly missed a medal when he finished fourth over 1000 meters.

Rodigari then won his first individual medal at major senior events at the 2007 Short Track World Championship, where he came second behind Apolo Anton Ohno over 1500 meters. In addition, he was third in the 1000 m World Cup in the 2006/07 season, and celebrated his next World Cup victory over this distance. He did not achieve any further successes in the 2007/08 season .
