Nicolas Fiva
Nicolas Fiva (born around August 15, 1609 in Freiburg im Üechtland ; † 1640 in Hangzhou , China ) was a Swiss mathematician and the first Swiss Jesuit in the Far East .
In 1628 he joined Landsberg am Lech in the Jesuit order, and received in 1635 in Lisbon , the ordination . From there he began his journey to the Chinese Imperial Court in Beijing , during which he himself ordained priests in Goa in 1636 , in Macau in 1637 and in Nanjing in 1638 .
