Nicolas Martin Hautorp Madsen (born March 17, 2000 ) is a Danish football player . The central midfielder has been with FC Midtjylland since his youth and is a young Danish national player.

Career

Nicolas Madsen first played football in Odense with BK Marienlyst and Næsby BK before moving to the Midtjylland region in 2015 at the FC Midtjylland football school . In March 2018 he received his first professional contract, but he continued to play for the youth teams and for the reserves before Madsen made his debut for the professional team on September 15, 2019 in a 3-0 away win against Lyngby BK in the super league . With the U19 he reached the round of 16 in the UEFA Youth League , in which FC Midtjylland was eliminated by Red Star Belgrade . Before the elimination, Nicolas Madsen was used in five games in the competition.

National team

In 2017, Nicolas Madsen played seven games - all of them friendly matches - for the Danish national team under the age of 17 . Between 2017 and 2018 he made six appearances for the U18 team . With the U19 national team of Denmark , for which he played 13 games, Madsen took part in the qualifications for the European Championship finals in 2018 and 2019 , but he was unsuccessful with his team in both preliminary rounds . He is currently running for the U21s .
