Nicolaus Hagg (* 1967 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian actor and author .

Hagg began playing smaller roles at the Klagenfurt City Theater at the age of 11. After graduating from high school, he began his acting training at the Vienna Conservatory with Elfriede Ott . After graduating from drama school, he became a member of the Vienna Volkstheater , whose ensemble he was part of for five years. He then moved to Berlin to the Theater des Westens , where he took on the role of Amadeus in the musical " Falco meets Amadeus ". Afterwards in Vienna he played at the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Volksoper Vienna , as well as at the Reichenau Festival and the Baden Theater .

Nicolaus Hagg has been writing for the satirical weekly program "Der Gugelhupf" on Austrian radio since 1998 , and works as a film and television writer for numerous production companies. For the Reichenau Festival he wrote the piece “Parkbank Philosophen” (premiered in 2008). In 2009 he dramatized the “ Strudlhofstiege ” after Heimito von Doderer , in 2011 “Oberst Redl”, in 2012 his dramatization of Tolstoy'sAnna Karenina ”, in 2014 the play "1914 - Two Paths to Fall" as a commissioned work and in 2016 the dramatization of the " Demons "by Heimito von Doderer for the Reichenau an der Rax Festival.

Hagg lives as a freelance actor and author in Vienna and Berlin . His son Valentin Hagg (* 2004) has a leading role in the film How I learned to be a child with myself (2019).
