Nicole Solarz

Nicole Solarz (born June 5, 1981 in Linz ) is an Austrian politician (SPÖ). From 2009 to 2018 she was a member of the Salzburg State Parliament with an interruption of parental leave in 2016 .

biography

Nicole Solarz, daughter of Leslaw Solarz and Wilma Solarz, attended elementary school in Marchtrenk and then the Bruckner grammar school in Wels . In 1995 she switched to the commercial academy, which she graduated with good success. After graduating from high school, she began studying law at the University of Salzburg in 2000 . Solarz spent a year in Nancy to deepen her studies there. In 2006 she completed her master’s degree and in 2009 did her doctorate at the University of Salzburg.

She became politically active very early on. From 2001 to 2007 she was a student representative and headed the international department of the ÖH in Salzburg in 2005/06 . From 2008 to 2012 she was a member of the regional board of JUSOS Salzburg.

After an internship at various international institutions and a legal internship at the Salzburg District Court, Solarz worked as a political advisor to the first President of the State Parliament, Johann Holztrattner, and later for his successor Gudrun Mosler-Törnström.

In March 2009 she was elected as a youth candidate in the Salzburg state parliament and re-elected in the 2013 state elections in Salzburg . From February 2016 to December 2016 Tarik Mete took on her role as a member of the state parliament during her parental leave . After the state elections in Salzburg in 2018 , she left the state parliament.
