Nicolet-Yamaska is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale de comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .
It is located in the administrative region of Center-du-Québec and consists of 16 subordinate administrative units (one city, eleven municipalities and four districts). The MRC was founded on January 1, 1982. The main town is Nicolet . The population is 22,725 and the area is 1005.2 km², which corresponds to a population density of 22.6 inhabitants per km².
