Niederfeld is a district of the city of Winterthur . Together with the quarters Weinberg , Oberfeld , Lindenplatz , Härti , Neuburg , Hardau and Taggenberg , it belongs to District 6 ( Wülflingen ).
geography
The Niederfeld district is located in the southwest of Wülflingen, south of the Töss . The populated area of the quarter extends mainly between the rivers Eulach and Töss and the railway line Winterthur-Koblenz . The Niederfeld industrial zone and the Tössrain are located south of the railway line. The Wieshof settlement on the rise towards Neuburg also belongs to the district area.
The Härti district is located north of the Töss. In the west, south of the Töss, the Niederfeld borders on the Hardau district. In the south is the district of Aussenwacht Neuburg, whereby the Wishof still belongs to the Niederfeld district. To the east, on the other side of the A1 motorway, is the Lindenplatz district.
education
The kindergarten and primary school Wyden are located in the center of the quarter.
The students from Wülflingen attend secondary school in the Hohfurri secondary school in the Oberfeld district in the east of Wülflingen. There are secondary schools in the city center.
Transport links
The Winterthur-Wülflingen train station is located in the quarter , on the Winterthur – Koblenz railway line and served every half hour by the S41 (Winterthur – Bülach) of the Zurich S-Bahn . In local transport, the district is accessed by bus line 7 (Wülflingen station - HB - Chli-Hegi), on weekends the night bus line N59 (Winterthur station Wülflingen) and the night train line Winterthur-Bülach serve the quarter.
Culture and leisure
To the north of the district, on the other side of the Töss, in the immediate vicinity of the district is the Wülflingen outdoor pool, which, like the Töss itself, is ideal for cooling off in summer. On the other hand, the surrounding forests as well as the Neuburg outdoor watch offer themselves as a local recreation area.
The Brühlgut Foundation and Café Wyden set up a meeting point in the neighborhood. There is also the Tössrain restaurant south of Wülflingen train station, with a mini zoo and mini golf course.
