features

The cute spherical amaranth is a curly-haired annual plant . The leaves are narrowly lanceolate, pointed and prickly. They measure 3 to 5 × 0.4 to 0.5 centimeters. The flowers are 2 to 3 times as long as the bracts.

The flowering period extends from July to October.

Occurrence

The cute spherical amaranth is found in southern Brazil , Uruguay , Paraguay , Argentina , Peru and Bolivia .
