Niewierszyn is a village in the powiat Piotrkowski of the Łódź Voivodeship in Poland . It has about 260 inhabitants and has belonged to the rural municipality of Aleksandrów with 4,347 inhabitants since 1973 (as of June 30, 2019).

geography

The place is located in the northwest of the municipality and borders on the Pilica River for about 250 meters to the west . The district town of Piotrków Trybunalski is about 25 kilometers to the northwest.

history

From 1919 to 1954 the village was the seat of the rural community of the same name, which was dissolved that year. Their territory belonged to the different voivodeships of Kielce (1919–1939), Łódź (1939), Łódź (1945–1950) and Kielce (1950–1954).

When the rural communities were reintroduced in 1973, the smaller, but centrally located village of Aleksandrów was given the seat of the rural community of Aleksandrów. From 1975 to 1998 this municipality belonged to the Piotrków Voivodeship .
