Nihat Şahin (born September 15, 1989 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper .

Career

Şahin was born in Izmir and moved to Antalya with his family as a child . Here he began playing football in the youth team of Kar İçecek Sarılar Spor and then in the youth teams of Antalyaspor , Varsak Spor and İskenderun Demir Çelikspor . At İskenderun DÇ he got a professional contract in 2007, but only played for the second selection.

In the winter break of the 2008/09 season he moved to the Black Sea coast for third division team Ofspor and came to sporadic missions until the end of the season. From the 2009/10 season he was then used regularly.

In 2011/12 he moved to the Süper Lig club Sivasspor . Although he was bought as the third goalkeeper and should be used in the second selection, he came to several league appearances for the professional team. He currently has a contract until June 30, 2015

In the summer of 2014/15 moved within the Süper Lig to promoted Mersin İdman Yurdu . After this club missed relegation in the summer of 2016, Şahin moved on to league rivals Gençlerbirliği Ankara for the next season . He also left the capital city after two years and failed relegation and moved to the second division Gazişehir Gaziantep FK .
