Nik Ebert

Nik Ebert (* 1954 in Kędzierzyn in Upper Silesia , Poland ) is a German cartoonist.

Life

Ebert came to the Federal Republic of Germany with his parents in 1958 as a resettler and grew up in Rheydt , now a district of Mönchengladbach . He studied law and education in Cologne and Aachen .

Since 1985 he has been a political cartoonist for the Mönchengladbach local section and the complete edition of the Rheinische Post (RP). Since 1994 he has also caricatured for the Stuttgarter Nachrichten . He also regularly draws for other newspapers, such as VDI Nachrichten and Verkehrs-Rundschau.

Nik Ebert was awarded the German Prize for Political Caricature in 1995 and 1997.

An extensive bundle of his work is in the House of History Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany.
