Nikica Maglica (born January 26, 1965 in Brčko , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player .
Player career
Maglica started his career in 1988 with Proleter Zrenjanin . Here he played four seasons. In 1992 he switched to NK Zagreb , where he only stayed for a short time. On December 7, 1992, he signed a two-year contract with Dynamo Dresden. Here he was not used at first because the German Football Association did not approve the transfer due to the high level of debt of the club. Also in the 1993/94 season he only made 10 appearances in the Bundesliga in the second half of the season. Previously, his mission failed due to the rule that only three foreigners were allowed to play in a team. In 1996 Maglica moved to local rival Dresdner SC, for which he played until 2001. After three seasons at OFC Neugersdorf , he returned to Dresdner SC in 2004 and played there for a year until his career ended as an active footballer in 2005.
Since early 2012 Maglica plays without pay for 1. FC Radebeul in the district league Meissen .
Coaching career
In the 2007/08 season Maglica was assistant coach of the second team at Dynamo Dresden under Jan Seifert, and two months later under Matthias Maucksch . Maglica and Maucksch rose with the second team in the upper league and won the Saxony Cup. Then Maglica became assistant coach of the first team next to Matthias Maucksch a year later in October 2009 . With the replacement of Maucksch as head coach by Ralf Loose on April 12, 2011, Maglica was also on leave.
In December 2013 Maglica took over the first men's team of the Dynamo soccer club Meißen. At that time, he was in last place in the Dresden City League C. In July 2016, he switched to the Meißner SV 08 as a coach, and in July 2017 as an assistant coach to the Radebeuler BC in the sixth-class soccer Sachsenliga .
