Niklas Magnus Sandberg (born September 3, 1978 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish football player .
career
society
Sandberg made his debut in 1995 for Västerhaninge IF in Division 2 , at the time the third highest Swedish league. Thereupon AIK Solna became aware of him and signed him up. There he played mainly in the youth department, but came on two missions in the Allsvenskan before he was transferred to IK Sirius in 1998 . In the Norrettan , the second highest division, he was used regularly. In 2000 he played briefly for Helsingborgs IF again in first division football, but moved back to Stockholm in 2001 for the second-rate FC Café Opera . Here he was a regular for three years and returned to AIK Solna in the first division in 2004. Although he was relegated to the Superettan with the club, the immediate resurgence was achieved.
In May 2007 he left Sweden and moved to CFR Cluj in the Romanian League 1 , where he was the first Swedish player in the history of the league. From July to December 2008 he played for the Norwegian first division club Stabæk Fotball , with whom he won the 2008 championship. At the beginning of 2009 he moved to the second division club FK Haugesund , with whom he made promotion to the Tippeligaen. At the beginning of 2010 he joined Singapore Armed Forces FC , left the club six months later and returned to IK Brage in Sweden. There he played in the Superettan until the club was relegated in late 2013. He then ended his career.
National team
Sandberg made his debut in the Swedish national team on January 18, 2007 during a South American tour . However, the game against Ecuador was lost 2-1.
