Nikolai Nikolajewitsch Chrenkow
Nikolai Nikolajewitsch Chrenkow ( Russian: Никола́й Никола́евич Хренко́в ; born July 15, 1984 in Schelesnogorsk ; † June 2, 2014 in the Krasnoyarsk region ) was a Russian bobsleigh .
Life
In 2011 and 2012, he won silver medals at the European Championships in Alexander Zubkov's four-man bobsleigh . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he finished 15th in the four-man bobsleigh. He died in a traffic accident on the road from Krasnoyarsk to his hometown of Zheleznogorsk , where he wanted to visit his parents. His car collided with an oncoming vehicle while overtaking.
