Nikolaos Sakellariou
Nikolaos "Nik" Sakellariou (born December 8, 1962 in Athens , Greece ) is a German politician ( SPD ), photographer and lawyer . From 2001 to 2016 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .
Sakellariou is the son of a Greek photographer and a Swabian pediatric nurse. After high school graduation (1982 in Horb am Neckar ) and military service, he did an apprenticeship in photography in Berlin , which he completed in 1986 with the journeyman's examination. 1986 to 1992 he worked as a photographer, most recently in Schwäbisch Hall ; In 1991 he passed the master's examination in the photography trade. 1992-1997 he studied in Berlin and Heidelberg jurisprudence . After the first state examination in 1998, legal clerkship at the Heilbronn District Court and the second state examination in 2000, he has been an independent lawyer in Schwäbisch Hall since 2000 , and since 2007 a specialist lawyer for labor law .
Sakellariou has been a member of the SPD since 1981. From 1998 to 2005 he was chairman of the SPD local association Schwäbisch Hall, and since 1999 he has been a city councilor in Schwäbisch Hall. In the state elections on March 25, 2001, he ran as an SPD candidate in constituency 22 (Schwäbisch Hall) and was elected to the state parliament with a second mandate. He was re-elected on March 26, 2006 and March 27, 2011. As of 2011, he is a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee, chairman of the AK domestic policy and domestic policy spokesman and police spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group, as well as chairman of the SPD in the petitions committee and a member of the standing committee. Since 2005 he has been chairman of the SPD district association Schwäbisch Hall. In 2007 Sakellariou was elected regional chairman of Naturfreunde Württemberg eV and in the same year he was elected chairman of the working group of Naturfreunde in Baden-Württemberg. Nikolaos Sakellariou has also been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Baden-Württemberg Consumer Association since May 8, 2012. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2006.
In 2014 Sakellariou ran for mayoral elections in Gaildorf , but was defeated by his opponent Frank Zimmermann in the first ballot on July 20.
From 2014 to 2016 Sakellariou was also chairman of the SPD in the NSU investigation committee of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg.
In the state elections in March 2016 , he ran in constituency 22 (Schwäbisch Hall) , but missed re-entry into parliament.
Nikolaos Sakellariou is married and has three daughters and two stepdaughters.
