Nikolaos Skarvelis (born February 2, 1993 in Santa Barbara ) is a Greek shot putter of American origin.

Athletic career

Nikolaos Skarvelis gained his first international experience in 2012 at the Junior World Championships in Barcelona , where he was eliminated from the qualification for the USA with a width of 18.66 m. In 2015 he took part in the U23 European Championships in Tallinn for Greece and finished sixth there with 18.96 m. The following year he made it to the final at the European Championships in Amsterdam , where he finished tenth with 19.55 m. He also qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he did not reach the final with 19.37 m . In 2018 he finished eleventh at the European Championships in Berlin with 20.11 m and the following year he was classified eighth at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow with 20.13 m.

In 2018 and 2019, Skarvelis became Greek champions in both indoor and outdoor shot put.
