Nikolas Anadolis

Nikolas Anadolis ( Greek Νικόλαος Αναδολής , * 1991 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek jazz musician ( piano , composition ).

Live and act

Anadolis started playing the piano at the age of four; a year and a half later he began taking classical piano lessons; In 2002 he became a student at the National Conservatory in Thessaloniki. From 2001 he received lessons in jazz piano and attended master classes with well-known musicians. Between 2008 and 2012 he completed his bachelor's degree at Berklee College of Music , then he did his master's degree at the New England Conservatory with Fred Hersch .

Andolis has played in a trio, but also in solo appearances and in a duo with saxophonist Christoph Huber in many European countries, including three times at the Enjoy Jazz jazz festival in the Rhine-Neckar region. He also composed for various ensembles, such as for string quartet and saxophone.

Prizes and awards

In 2004 Anadolis received first prize at the Greek-Cypriot piano competition Filon . In 2009 he won the jazz piano competition at Berklee College and in 2010 the Martial Solal jazz piano competition in Paris.
