The Kofeljoch ( Italian Passo di Eores ), also called Halsl , is a 1866  m high mountain pass in the South Tyrolean Dolomites ( Italy ). The Kofeljoch is a transition from the Afer Valley to the Lüsner Valley and is therefore on the watershed between Sade and Lasanke . The Plose rises to the north . To the south, the protected slopes in the Puez-Geisler nature park rise to the Afer Geisler . Administratively, it is located on the municipal border between Brixen and Villnöß .

It is made accessible for motor traffic by the state road 29, which connects the Eisack valley in the west to the Gadertal valley in the east. Another access option is from the south-westerly direction via the Villnößtal : The state road 163 coming from there changes at Russiskreuz over the watershed into the upper Afer valley and joins state road 29 below the Kofeljoch.

The Kofeljoch or Halsl is a relatively unknown mountain pass. This has to do with the fact that the Würzjoch is just under three kilometers to the east , which provides a transition from the Lüsner to the Untermoital . Since the pass road overcomes both Jöcher in close succession, the slightly higher Würzjoch with 1982  m is much more prominent.
