The Passo del Vivione is a mountain pass in the Italian region of Lombardy. It connects two side valleys of the Valcamonica , the Valle Paisco in the province of Bergamo and the Valle di Scalve in the province of Brescia . The crossing is accessed by an easily navigable and scenic road, but is only of local importance today.

Vivione has always been committed locally, but it used to be in competition with neighboring crossings, especially the Zovetta and Campelli passes, which are now orphaned and virtually unused.

Kurt Mair, the author of the first Alpine road reference work, was one of the first foreigners to drive the pass road in the 1920s. When he asked the locals for the name of the pass due to a lack of road maps, he misunderstood “Gaffione”. Since Mair published this false name in his book "Hochstraßen der Alpen" (1930), it later found a certain distribution in other works.

Recently the most difficult passages have been modernized on this mountain route leading through an old mining area. Today's road over the Vivione is good, but only has a single lane, and is also quite winding and winding. The difference in altitude is 1092 meters from the southwest, from Dezzo, 1342 meters from Forno Allione in the northeast, the maximum gradient is 12 percent on both sides.
