The Russiskreuz is a 1729 m high mountain saddle in the South Tyrolean Dolomites ( Italy ). The Russiskreuz is a transition from the Villnößtal to the parallel Aferer Tal . To the east, the protected slopes of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park rise to the Afer Geisler , while the area to the west rises to the wooded summit of the Hochegg. Administratively, it is in the municipality of Villnöß .
The crossing is made accessible for motor traffic by the state road 163, which starts in Villnöß. In the wooded area, the Russiskreuz is not easily recognizable as a watershed between the valleys, as the road on the Afer side increases in height before it enters the Landesstraße 29 opens, which continues eastwards to the Kofeljoch and Würzjoch .
