The Passo Campo Carlo Magno ( 1682 m slm ) is a mountain pass in Trentino ( Italy ) between the Brenta Dolomites in the east and the Adamello group in the west, which connects the Val di Sole with the Val Rendena .
The top of the pass is located within the village of Campo Carlo Magno .
Due to its proximity to the tourist resort of Madonna di Campiglio, the pass is of touristic importance.
The pass is named after Charlemagne , who is said to have crossed the pass on his way to Rome for his coronation as emperor in 800 .
