The Passo Coe is a 1610 m slm high mountain pass between the Italian provinces of Trento and Vicenza .
course
Coming from Folgaria , the paved pass road leads to the top of Passo Coe, then crosses Passo Valbona (also: Forcella Valbona) to meet the road coming from Passo del Sommo a few kilometers before Tonezza del Cimone .
Location and surroundings
West of the top of the pass there are two former Austrian fortifications from the time of the First World War : About 3 km to the northwest is the Sommo intermediate plant (it. Sommo alto), about 3 km west of the Serrada plant (also Dosso del Sommo).
On Lago Coe , a small lake on Passo Coe, there are parts of a former anti-aircraft missile site from the Cold War era , which was converted into a museum in 2012 .
North of the Passo Coe is the Passo del Sommo, also coming from Folgaria . The Passo della Borcola runs south, separated from the Passo Coe by the Monte Maggio ( 1854 m slm ) .
In the course of the road between Folgaria and the top of the Passo Coe, several cable cars lead into the surrounding mountains.
The Passo Coe is located on the European long-distance hiking trail E5 .
