Cycling
The Colle delle Finestre also gained fame in the cycling world in 2005 when the Giro d'Italia crossed the pass on the penultimate day of the race. Italian television produced some of the television images of the event in black and white to remind of the time of Fausto Coppi , when such unpaved roads were still the norm.
The Colle delle Finestre has been part of the Giro d'Italia program again in 2011 and 2015 , as in 2005 on the penultimate day of the race. In the Giro edition 2018, however, already in the third to last stage.
