Nicholas III (Werle)

Nikolaus III, lord of Werle [-Güstrow], called Staveleke (* after 1311 and before 1333 or 1337; † between August 10, 1360 and August 1, 1361 ) was lord of Werle-Güstrow from 1337 to 1360 .

He was the eldest son of Johann II von Werle [-Güstrow] and Mechthild.

After the death of his father Nicholas II in 1337, he ruled alone and from 1339 to 1347 together with his brother Bernhard . After 1347 his brother took over the rule of Werle-Waren and he kept the Werle-Güstrow part. He was mentioned for the last time on August 10, 1360 and probably died a short time later.

On January 6, 1338, Nikolaus married Agnes (* after 1320; † before 1341), the daughter of Heinrich II. He had two children with her:
