Nikoloz "Nika" Gelashvili ( Georgian ნიკოლოზ გელაშვილი ; born August 5, 1985 in Telavi ) is a Georgian football player .

Career

Gelashvili started his career with his hometown club FC Kakheti Telavi , then moved to Dinamo Tbilisi . This was followed by a move within Georgia to WIT Georgia Tbilisi , where he stayed until the end of 2007. From January 2008 to January 2012 Gelashvili played for FC Sestaponi , with whom he became Georgian champion in 2011. In 2009 and 2011 he was the top scorer of the Umaghlessi League with 20 and 18 goals this season .

In January 2012, the German second division VfL Bochum signed him. On February 5, 2012, the first matchday after the winter break, he was substituted on in the 67th minute of the game against Hansa Rostock and eight minutes later he scored the winning goal to make it 2-1 for Bochum. At the end of the 2012/13 season, his contract with the Bochum team was prematurely terminated and Gelashvili moved to Azerbaijan to Qarabağ Ağdam .
