Nile Karaibrahimgil
Nil Karaibrahimgil (born October 17, 1976 in Ankara ) is a Turkish pop singer . Due to the length of her last name, she usually uses the short Nile as a stage name .
Life
Her uncle belonged to the Modern Folk Trio , which took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 .
In 2000 Karaibrahimgil graduated from Bosphorus University with a degree in International Relations . During her studies, she started working for an advertising agency, producing movie spots and radio jingles for them . Turkey wide it was her role in a commercial for the phone cards HazırKart of Turkcell as Özgür Kiz known ( "independent girl").
In 2002 her debut album Nil Dünyasi was released . In 2005 she sang the title track for the film Organize İşler by Yılmaz Erdoğan . In 2006 three songs could be heard in the soundtrack for the movie Sınav - The Exam . She also worked as a singer on İlhan Erşahin's album Harikalar Diyari (Wonderland) .
Karaibrahimgil stands out because of its unconventional intonation of Turkish and its puny texts. A number of her songs deal with the subject of the independence of young women.
She made her acting debut in the film AROG by Cem Yılmaz .
In 2010 she married Serdar Erener, the brother of Sertab Erener . The couple has a son named Aziz Arif.
In February 2011 her first book, Nil'in Kelebekleri ("Nils Butterflies") was published by Doğan Kitap .
