Nils-Åke Sandell

Nils-Åke Sandell (born February 5, 1927 in Lund , † May 29, 1992 ) was a Swedish football player .

Career

Sandell began his career at the lower class club Lunds BK , which he left in the direction of IFK Malmö , who played in the Allsvenskan . He then moved to Malmö FF . After two seasons in Italy with SPAL Ferrara , he returned to Sweden in 1958 and ended his career with IS Halmia in 1962 .

Between 1952 and 1956 Sandell ran 20 times for the Swedish national team . He scored 20 goals. With an average of one goal per international match, he is third in Sweden behind Gunnar Nordahl (quotient 1.30) and Sven Rydell (quotient 1.14) among national players with at least ten appearances.
