Nils-Olof Franzén

Nils-Olof Franzén (born August 23, 1916 in Oxelösund , Sweden ; † February 24, 1997 ) was a Swedish author of primarily detective and detective novels , author of biographies and program director at Swedish Radio from 1956 to 1973. He became famous through his books about the fictional bizarre detective Agaton Sax . Other fictional characters he created in the 1960s are Göran Ulv, Fred Y and Mr. Zippo.

He wrote biographies of Hjalmar Branting , Alfred Dreyfus , the Swedish sports journalist Sven Jerring, Jenny Lind , Molière , Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Christina Nilsson , Gioacchino Rossini and Émile Zola .
