Nils Baratella

Nils Baratella (* 1973 ) is a German philosopher .

biography

Baratella studied philosophy , history and modern German literature from 2003 to 2009 . Subsequently, he was admitted to the doctorate at the Free University of Berlin , before receiving a scholarship from 2010 to 2013 at the graduate college "Self- Education - Practices of Subjectivation" at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg . Since 2013 he has been a research assistant at the Institute for Philosophy at the University of Oldenburg. From 2013 to 2014 he also worked as a lecturer at the Institute for Sports Science and Sports Education at the University of Bremen . He is also a liaison professor for the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation at the University of Oldenburg.

Research priorities

Baratella's research interests lie in the history of philosophy , social philosophy , political philosophy , philosophical and historical anthropology, and German idealism . He deals with theories of violence , the history of ideas , research on subjectivation and the philosophy of sport . His historical focus is on Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel , Friedrich Nietzsche , Hannah Arendt and Hans Blumenberg .
