The Oldenburg Yearbook for Philosophy is a philosophical periodical that appears every two years by BIS-Verlag. Original contributions are published in it in German .

history

The Oldenburg Yearbook for Philosophy was initiated in 2007 by Myriam Gerhard. Originally it brought together selected contributions from the Philosophical Colloquium , a public lecture series by the Institute for Philosophy at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg , at which philosophers and scientists mainly from German-speaking countries present their research . After the first three volumes, the yearbook was published in changing constellations by Christine Zunke , Ingo Elbe and Philip Hogh. After the first six volumes, the yearbook rested before it was reissued in 2019 with a volume on the years 2017 and 2018 by Alexander Max Bauer and Nils Baratella . Since then, it has brought together “not only contributions from the Philosophical Colloquium, but also contributions that reflect the life of the institute” and appears every two years instead of annually as originally. In addition, since then, the articles have been available open access via the Oldenburg online publication server .
