Nils Klems (born September 29, 1988 in Iserlohn ) is a German futsal player .

Career

Klems was born in Iserlohn and was one of eleven founding members who founded the Holzpfosten Schwerte association in 2005 , of which he is still the second board member today. Before he switched to wooden posts as a player, he played in various teams in the district , Westphalia and state leagues in North Rhine-Westphalia . In the A youth he played in the Westphalia League at SF Oestrich-Iserlohn . The midfielder has only been active for the wooden post footballers in the district league A since 2011 . In 2009 he was jointly responsible for founding the wooden post futsal division. With the futsalers from Holzpfosten Schwerte, whose captain and assistant coach he is currently, he was twice German runner-up (2014, 2015) and once West German champion (2016) in futsal. In the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons Klems acted as player -coach for the wooden post futsalers.

Klems took part in the student world championships in futsal in Malaga 2014 (11th place) and in Goiânia , Brazil 2016 (6th place). In Brazil he was nominated as captain for the national team of German students. On October 30, 2016, he made his debut in the German national futsal team , for which he was in the starting five in the DFB's first international futsal match . He is the deputy captain behind Timo Heinze in the German national futsal team . In the second international futsal match of the DFB on November 1, 2016, Klems, also as part of the starting five, led the German national futsal team onto the field as captain.
