The club was founded in 2005 and offers futsal , soccer , basketball and badminton . The club became known through its futsal team, which became German runners-up twice in a row in 2014 and 2015.
Foundation of an association
In the early 2000s, the club was formed as a leisure team that took part in the Dortmund Soccerworld hobby league. The players looked for an unusual name for the team and eventually came up with wooden posts. The club received media attention in September 2013 when it was portrayed on the WDR television program Zeigler's wonderful world of football . In addition, presenter Arnd Zeigler put a sticker from wooden posts Schwerte on the coaching chair of Werder coach Robin Dutt in Bremen's Weser Stadium . The Hoolz'pfosten fan club was founded in 2011 .
