history

Name, origin and history

The MCH Sennestadt

The abbreviation MCH in the club name is derived from the Matthias-Claudius-Haus Sennestadt ( MCH Sennestadt ), the youth center of the Protestant parish Sennestadt. At the beginning of the 21st century, the indoor and five-a-side football offer Soccer Boys was created here . a. as part of the regular MCH Soccer Nights events with the variant futsal aroused great interest not only among children, but above all among adolescents and young adults. However, since the Soccer Boys were not a registered club, they could not take part in official futsal competitions, but only in unofficial events such as the Street Soccer Tour . However, while the mutual enjoyment of futsal continued to grow, the desire to take part in official futsal competitions also increased. To make this possible, the MCH Futsal Club Sennestadt was founded on August 12, 2013 .

In May 2018, the unanimous decision was made to expand the club name to "MCH Futsal Club Bielefeld-Sennestadt eV". As an independent and - viewed in recent years - most successful futsal club in West Germany, the club has played a major role in the regional and nationwide popularization of the sport of "futsal". After three consecutive participations in the German futsal championship and the associated membership of the best futsal teams in Germany, the addition of "Bielefeld" in the external image is intended to fulfill the obligation as a "city club" in addition to the perception as a "district club", so to make an even bigger contribution to the development of futsal in association with the city of Bielefeld. In the course of this expansion, the club's coat of arms was also changed and optimized. They stayed true to their Sennestädter roots by including the city district's zip code (33689) in the coat of arms.

Today, the MCH Futsal Club Bielefeld-Sennestadt operates largely independently of the MCH Sennestadt , but is in regular and close cooperation with it through a wide range of offers. The MCH Sennestadt is therefore not only the place of birth, but also an important point of contact and supporter of the futsal club and its members to this day. Therefore, the term MCH Sennestadt is used internally and colloquially as a short synonym for the MCH Futsal Club Bielelfeld-Sennestadt . However, in order to prevent confusion for and by outsiders, a distinction must be made in the external use of names due to the independence of the MCH Sennestadt youth center and the “MCH Futsal Club Bielefeld-Sennestadt” futsal club.

Season 2013/14 to 2015/16

Shortly after the club was founded, the team of then coach Yasin Kacar started playing in the Futsal Westphalia League 2013/14, which was still second class at the time, and immediately secured the championship with seven wins from eight games. With the Futsal Westphalia Championship 2013/14, the Sennestädter rose to the first-class WFLV futsal league and immediately achieved fourth place in their promotion season 2014/15 . In the following 2015/16 season , the Sennestädter were runner-up in the WFLV Futsal League due to the better direct comparison with the former German futsal champions Futsal Panthers Cologne . This qualified for the German Futsal Championship 2016 .

In the quarter-finals of the German Futsal Championship 2016 , the Bielefeld team were able to defeat VfL 05 Hohenstein-Ernstthal 5-4 in their own hall . In the following semi-final, the MCH Futsal Club had to compete with the defending champion Hamburg Panthers . After an exciting game, the Sennestädter had to admit defeat 2: 5.

Also in 2016, the MCH Futsal Club secured the Futsal Westphalia Cup with a 2-0 final victory over the Schwerte wooden posts . During the participation in the German Futsal Championship and the Futsal Westphalia Cup, the DFB Futsal Instructor and Lower Saxony (since 2017 Westphalian) futsal regional trainer Sebastian Rauch supported the previous trainer Yasin Kacar in his work with the first team. In the summer of 2016, Sebastian Rauch officially assumed the position of head coach of the first team, while Yasin Kacar has since taken on expanded tasks as assistant coach and chairman of the board.

Season 2016/17

In the new constellation, the Bielefeld team secured the West German championship title for the first time in the 2016/17 season with 42 points and most recently 14 games without defeat. The MCH Futsal Club was the youngest team in the league, with an average age of 21. In the quarter-finals of the German Futsal Championship 2017 , the Sennestädter met VfL 05 Hohenstein-Ernstthal, who retaliated in a close game with a 4-3 victory for the previous year's defeat.

The MCH Futsal Club was then able to win the West German Futsal Cup with a 7: 6 victory over Futsal Freakz Gütersloh . At the end of the 2016/17 season, the Sennestädter defended their title in the Futsal Westphalia Cup after a 2-1 final win against Holzpfosten Schwerte. The MCH Futsal Club Bielefeld-Sennestadt is the first futsal team to not only achieve the West German double (West German champions and cup winners), but also the triple for the first time by winning all possible competitions at West German level by winning the Westphalia Cup.

Furthermore, in May , three Sennestädter futsalers were nominated by the new German national futsal coach Marcel Loosveld with Memos Sözer, Ibrahim Kalemci and Vidoje Matić for the course of the German national futsal team in June. Sözer made his debut in January 2017, while Matić played for Germany for the first time in September of the same year.

Season 2017/18

The title defense in the 2017/18 season was narrowly missed, despite the point total of 47 points never before achieved by a West German club. Despite a 9: 4 win on the last match day at UFC Paderborn , the Sennestädter hoped in vain for a slip by leaders Futsal Panthers Cologne , who themselves won the title 5: 2 at UFC Münster and ultimately with 49 points. Nevertheless, MCH qualified for the German Futsal Championship 2018 , where the Bielefeld team initially won 4: 1 (0: 1) against defending champion SSV Jahn Regensburg , but in the quarter-finals with 0: 3 (0: 0) against the later German Champion VfL 05 Hohenstein-Ernstthal failed. With Aytürk Geçim and Hakan Erdem , the MCH Futsal Club provided its national players number four and five in the 2017/18 season.

Season 2018/19

At the beginning of the season, the club name was extended to MCH Futsal Club Bielefeld-Sennestadt . In addition, the club entered into a cooperation with the Arminia Bielefeld football club . The team, strengthened by the national player Sandro Jurado García , secured the championship on the last match day with an 8-3 win over the relegated Bonn Futsal Lions . At the federal level it was again the last stop in the quarterfinals . Against FC Liria Berlin , the Sennestädter failed in the six-meter shootout.
