German Futsal Championship 2018
The German Futsal Championship 2018 is the 13th edition of the German Futsal Championship . The final round took place from March 10th to April 29th, 2018. The VfL 05 Hohenstein-Ernstthal first time secured the championship title. Defending champion SSV Jahn Regensburg failed in the preliminary round.
Attendees
The champions and runners-up of the regional associations North , Northeast , Southwest and West as well as the champions of the South German Football Association qualified for the German Futsal Championship . The runner-up of the Regionalliga Süd SSV Jahn Regensburg has to play a play-off game against the winner of the South German Futsal Cup, Türkspor Nürnberg .

The five regional champions and the runner-up from the best regional association are automatically qualified for the quarter-finals. To determine the best regional association, a performance table is used, which takes into account the performance of the teams in the last three German championships. The four other runners-up already intervene in the tournament in the preliminary round. The runner-up from the second best regional association meets that of the fifth best and the runner-up from the third best regional association meets that of the fourth best. The games from the quarter-finals onwards were determined by a draw on March 12, 2018. The lots were drawn by Marcel Loosveld , the national coach of the German national futsal team .

Preliminary round
The game was played on March 24, 2018. 1894 Berlin only prevailed against Bretzenheim in the six-meter shootout. Defending champion Regensburg could not use their home advantage and lost to Sennestadt.
