Nilton Gusmão dos Santos

Nilton Gusmão dos Santos (* in Dili , East Timor ) is an East Timorese entrepreneur and sports official.

family

Nilton is the son of the politician Gilman Exposto dos Santos and the diplomat Armandina Maria Gusmão dos Santos . His uncle is Xanana Gusmão , a former freedom fighter, President and Prime Minister of East Timor.

Working life

Gusmão dos Santos is the owner of Esperança Timor Oan (ETO), a company in the oil and energy sector. ETO was founded in 2000 to supply fuel for the Australian military contingent in East Timor. ETO operates the import, distribution and sale of fuels in East Timor and was the main supplier to the country's power plants in 2014. In 2006 he founded the construction company Gilman & Serafim for the real estate and concrete industry. ETO achieved sales of around $ 80 million in 2012. In 2017, ETO, together with investors from Fiji, bought the sportswear manufacturer World Rugby Specialists Pty Ltd (WRS).

In 2015, the League Futebol Amadora (LFA), the national league association of the East Timorese football league, was founded. Gusmão dos Santos was elected President of the LFA and confirmed in his office with the conversion of the LFA into the League Futebol Timor-Leste (LFTL).
