Nina Zöggeler (born February 5, 2001 in Lana ) is an Italian luge athlete .

Nina Zöggeler is the daughter of the former luge rider and two-time Olympic champion Armin Zöggeler and cousin of luge rider Sandra Robatscher . The South Tyrolean lives in Lana and attends the sports high school in Mals .

Zöggeler made her international debut in the 2015/16 season in the Youth A World Cup Luge . At the third station of the racing series at Königssee , she finished 30th in her first race and received her first eleven World Cup points for it. The best result in four starts she achieved at the season finale in Oberhof , where she was 25th. In the overall ranking of the season she was 30th with 50 points. In the following season , she only came to her first races after the two World Cups overseas. In her first race of the season in Igls , she not only achieved her first top ten placement, but also narrowly missed the podium in fourth place. In the remaining three races, she was never worse than sixth and was eighth in the overall standings with 215 points. Zöggeler competed in all five races in 2016/17 . In Oberhof she sled to the podium for the first time in third behind Verena Hofer and Sophie Gerloff. She was also third in the two races in Igls, and fourth in both races in Oberhof and Königssee. Only at the last race of the season in Winterberg did she achieve a worse result than fourth with her result for the overall standings, a sixth place. In the overall standings she was fourth behind Hofer, Gerloff and Merle Fräbel. The end of the season was the 2018 Junior Luge World Championships in Altenberg . It was also Zöggeler's first international championships. After the first round she was still on a promising eighth place, in the end she was 12th after a less successful second round in which she reached 14th time.

At the start of the 2017/18 season , Nina Zöggeler came to Igls - her father made her debut in the Luge World Cup 25 years earlier - for her first appearance in the women's World Cup. In the Nations Cup race, she finished ninth and was able to qualify for the main race immediately. When she was only 16 at the time, she achieved a remarkable 15th place there. For the rest of the season she continued to be used by the A-Juniors. In the overall ranking of the Nations Cup she was 47th with 39 points and 42nd in the World Cup with 26 points.
