Nino Crisman (actually Ettore Krisman ; born October 27, 1911 in Trieste , † November 15, 1983 in Rome ) was an Italian actor and film producer .

Life

Crisman studied economics and was an officer at the Accademia Navale before he moved to Rome and enrolled in acting courses at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia . He received his diploma in 1938. The following year he made his debut as a cinema actor in a small role in Mario Camerini and was already more prominent in his second film, Mario Soldati's Dora Nelson . As the most sly opponent of the hero, he soon found a niche in his productions until 1943. After an interruption due to war and post-war reasons - active on the stage of the theater of the University of Rome in comedies by Francesco Pasinetti and Vitaliano Brancati - he was able to have three more careers continue for more years. Right at the beginning of the 1950s, however, he switched behind the camera and was active as a production manager for a number of productions, including international ones. At the end of the decade he switched to "Napoleon Film" as an executive producer, where he had commercial goods manufactured without any particular merits or weaknesses. With a few exceptions, no longer seen as an actor, Crisman worked from 1972 until shortly before his death as managing director of "Castoro Film".

Crisman was in a relationship with Elena Zareschi for a long time . He married Miss Italy in 1946, Rossana Martini , with whom he also produced some films.
