Nirad Chandra Chaudhuri

Nirad Chandra Chaudhuri (often Nirad C. Chaudhuri ; Bengali : নীরদ চন্দ্র চৌধুরী , Nīrad Candra Caudhurī ; born November 23, 1897 in the Kishorganj district , Bengal ; † August 1, 1999 in Oxford , England ) was a Bengali writer, historian and cultural scientist. In 1966, The Continent of Circe was awarded the Duff Cooper Prize .
