Life

Although Niven Howie wanted to advance his music career while he was still at university, he ended up in Wardour Street, Soho in London in the mid- 1980s , where he became an assistant editor for music videos. Howie quickly became one of the most sought-after music video editors in London because of his affinity for music. After directing several music videos from 1988 onwards, he quickly established contacts in the film industry and, after editing other commercials, was able to edit an episode of the British television series 4 Play for the first time in 1991 . As early as 1994 he was asked by the British director Julien Temple if he would like to lead the editing for Bullet - Eye for Eye , which he did afterwards. This was followed by internationally successful films such as Bube, Dame, König, grAS (1998) and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005).

He worked several times with director and producer Paul WS Anderson and edited films such as Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) and Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010). The latter was his first 3D film. In 2012, Resident Evil: Retribution , another part of the Resident Evil film series, followed.

Since 2915 Howie has also been increasingly active in television series and films. His work includes more than 65 productions.
